The sound course for the person who can push faders but wants to know why.

A self-paced video course covering house sound and livestream audio, routing, signal flow, gain staging, and EQ, for the volunteer or media director who's already hands-on at the board but never got a real walkthrough of how it all actually works.

Who This Is For

Not a total-beginner course.

  • 1

You've already got hands-on time at the board, faders, mutes, basic mixing

  • 2

Routing, signal flow, gain staging, and EQ still feel like guesswork, not a system

  • 3

You want to understand why a fix works, not just memorize another checklist

Most small church sound volunteers get handed a board and figure it out by trial and error, Sunday after Sunday. You can push faders and mute a channel, but the actual system underneath it, why routing works the way it does, what gain staging is actually protecting you from, why EQ fixes the problem a volume knob can't, has never been explained start to finish.

This course is that explanation. Built around the Behringer X32 since it's the board I see most often in small churches, but the concepts carry over to any digital or analog board you're running.

I've been doing church sound for 23 years, starting back when I was 12 logging timecodes for my dad's TV program. This is the course I wish someone had handed me instead of a manual and a shrug.
