Overview

Small Church Media ("we," "us," or "our") operates smallchurchmedia.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By submitting your email address on the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

When you sign up for our free checklist or launch notifications, we collect the email address you provide, along with the date and source of your submission. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, which uses cookies to collect standard analytics data such as pages viewed and approximate location (country, state, and city, derived from your IP address, not your exact location). We also record, for both email submissions and anonymous blog page views, the referring website or campaign (if any) that brought you to the Site and an approximate location derived from your IP address in the same way, for internal reporting on where our traffic and leads come from. We do not retain raw IP addresses. This information is used only for our own internal reporting and is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. We do use Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to block spam and bot submissions, which sets a cookie and operates under Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google Analytics likewise operates under Google's Privacy Policy.

Comments, Likes, and Contact Messages

If you leave a comment on a blog post, we store your name, your comment, the post it belongs to, and the time you posted it. Your email address is optional, is never shown on the Site, and is stored only with your comment. Comments are reviewed before they appear. You can delete a comment you posted from the same browser you used to post it, or email us and ask us to remove it.

If you tap Like on a post, we store a random ID that your browser creates (not your name or email) together with the post you liked, so the count stays accurate and you can take your Like back.

If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, and message so we can reply to you.

Email Lists

If you ask for an email whenever a new blog post goes up, we store your email address and send you a confirmation link first. You only receive post emails after you confirm. If you join a waitlist, such as the sound course or the SundayReady app, we store your email address and tell you when there is news. If you join the SundayReady waitlist, we also add your email address to the SundayReady app's own waitlist, which we run. We use the email service MailerLite for some of our email and send other messages directly from our own email account. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and Browser Storage

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure how the Site is used. We use it to see which posts are read, how far down the page readers scroll, and which of our links and offers are clicked. Google reCAPTCHA sets a cookie when you use a form. We also keep a few small items in your browser itself: the random ID used by the Like button, a note of which posts you have liked, a key that lets you delete your own comments, and short-lived notes such as which posts you already viewed and whether you closed the social links bar. These stay in your browser, and you can clear them in your browser settings.

We also keep our own daily totals of blog post views by post, referring site or campaign, and approximate location (country and region). These totals are not tied to any individual visitor.

How We Use Your Information

We use your email address to:

• Send you the free checklist or resource you requested
• Tell you when new courses, products, or the SundayReady app launch
• Share helpful tips, stories, and resources as we get to know your church's needs
• Share occasional updates about Small Church Media products, services, and promotions that may be of interest to you

We will not send you communications beyond these purposes without your consent.

Your Choices & Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link so you can opt out instantly. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us at smallchurchmedia261@gmail.com and asking to be removed. We will honor your request promptly and will not send you further emails.

If you would like your comment or email address removed, email us at the same address and we will take care of it.

How We Store & Protect Your Information

Submissions are stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with service providers (such as Google, which provides our hosting, database, analytics, and spam protection, and MailerLite, which helps us manage email) solely to operate the Site and deliver the communications described above.

Affiliate Links

Some links on the Site and on our social media accounts may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network (such as Amazon, Sweetwater, B&H Photo, or a network that runs a program on a company's behalf) may set a cookie in your browser to credit the sale to us. That cookie is set by the other company and is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, payment details, or purchase history from these programs, only a report that a qualifying sale happened. Clicking an affiliate link does not share your email address or any information you gave us. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how we choose what to link.

Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
